Security that survives contact with users
Controls that people route around are not controls. Identity, access and detection have to be designed for the way work really happens.

Security programmes fail quietly. Nothing breaches; people simply find faster paths. Shared credentials appear. Approvals get pre-signed. Exceptions become permanent.
Start with identity, not tooling
Most incidents we review trace back to an identity that was over-permissioned, unattended, or never removed. Cleaning up joiners, movers and leavers is unglamorous and reduces more risk than an additional detection product.
Detect what matters
Alert volume is a poor proxy for coverage. We tune detections against the handful of scenarios that would genuinely damage the business, then rehearse the response until it is boring.
Measure friction
Track how long a legitimate request takes to be approved. When that number falls, adoption rises — and shadow workarounds disappear on their own.
